What is the Midweek Music Melomania (MMM) you may ask? They’re weekly tunes/artists that seem to my “obsession” of the week. Either that or the song I just cannot get out of my head. How did this idea come about? Well… Whether its singing or playing the piano, I’ve been making music since I can remember and I am finally doing something that I incorporates all my strengths and passions! I never quite formally announced it, but I am currently interning at Fearless Radio thus am exposed to so many different types of music daily. I guess you can say that is where it all started. Just as a warning, my taste in music is extremely different from almost everyone I have met and hopefully you enjoy it.

I have been blessed with so many different opportunities. This week’s MMM is THE CAB! I absolutely love The Cab and had the chance to interview Alex DeLeon, the lead singer of The Cab, and had a wonderful conversation with him.
The Cab’s newest album Symphony Solider is pure genius. It is well balanced and the range of musical influence is broad. The album is also extremely mainstream yet each song is carefully crafted with the right amount of emotion. The Cab was able to cowrote many of their songs with artists such as Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars to Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy. My favorite songs on the album would have to be ‘La La’ and ‘Lovesick Fool’. ’Lovesick Fool’ and ‘La La’ both showcase the band’s musical growth and talent; from Alex DeLeon’s soaring vocals to Alex Marshall’s amazing piano skills.
