You’ve opened my eyes

You've opened my eyes. You've expanded my horizons. You make courage visible. You make love visible.

Ahhhh Shakespeare… What a man of mystery. How does one man know so much about our emotions and what it means to be human yet be so unknown to the world. At the end of the last school year, I “lost” many of my good friends to life and college. They are all going places and moving on. Time does not stop for anyone. With school starting in six, well five days, I can’t help but think of one person in particular… This fella’s passion for music (specifically choral music)  and life was absolutely contagious! He was one the most supportive, inspirational, and funniest guys on the PLANET! And he had an AMAZING vocal range! Hahaha he is a better soprano than I will ever be. In addition to being amazing, he can recite DUKE ORSINO’s mini monologue in act 1, scene 1 by heart. I have no idea how I will survive choir without him :)

If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o’er my ear like the sweet sound

That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour!
